A Paintball Gun Would be Much more sensible in dealing with World Matters

There are people out there that take their paintball guns and the game of paintball in general to a whole new level. You have seen these people be the butt of jokes on television and in movies. The over generalized war freak that can live out their fantasy of being Rambo through the game of paintball. While this is funny the truth is that when you play you will probably come across such people.

There are so many upgrades that can be made to a paintball gun and the people who take paintballing ridiculously serious will, no doubt, have purchased all these attachments for their guns. The world of paintball, even thought they don’t like to touch on this subject, has recreated the war environment but without the gruesome images and death toll associated with it.

It does seem strange that people are so obsessed with war but this is why we see countless stories on the History Channel about the second world war and other war related issues. We are fascinated by war and death, and it is just a part of being human. Look back in time and you can see for yourself that humans for the most part are consumed and intrigued by what happens during war.

This is a strange obsession to say the least but lets look at the situation here. We now have paintball and the safety of a paintball gun to recreate the feelings of war minus the death and destruction. It would indeed be great if the world could settle its differences in this manner rather than bring death to families, trauma to children and psychological long-term damage to parents. Wouldn't you agree?

Unfortunately we don’t live in that world, but wouldn’t it be nice to live in such a place? A paintball gun is so much more practical than a real gun because it is not designed to kill anyone. We often hear the popular phrase ”Guns don’t kill people, people kill people.” brought up in a gun argument. This is true given that it is human action that directs the gun and eventually the outcome. However in the case of paintball guns, human action takes a back seat because the harm done is minimal compared to a live rifle or pistol.

This could be where people are reluctant to give into the paintball guns dungeon. While it is completely safe and much more sensible than real war, many people might think that it is demeaning for the brave soldiers who fought and died oversees or in any war for that matter. Likewise people who favour gun control seem reluctant because of the stigma they attach with guns in general.

It is hard to think of a game that reflects these elements. One does need to avoid being one dimensional on the subject and realize that at the end it is just a game. Paranoia and guilt must be left aside. Yes, it does mock war and those who don't approve of guns, but it does not take away any of the seriousness that surrounds it.

If only we could use a paintball gun to determine the fate of a nation or the outcome of power. It does seem a little silly to think about it but we are swiftly becoming a greater civil species. The further we mature the more we find ourselves in dire need of resolving the constant influx of conflicts the world finds itself in today.
